Probe for measurement of free inorganic chlorine with minimized dependence on ph.
Measuring principle: membrane covered, amperometric / potentiostatic
3-electrode system with electronic inside
Measuring range: selectable option
Signal output: 2-pole 4-20mA
Chlorination agents inorganic chlorine compounds:
NaOCl (=sodium hypochlorite), Ca(OCl)2,chlorine gas, electrolytically generated chlorine
Indicator: total chlorine (= free chlorine + bound chlorine)
Working temperature: >5 °C … <45 °C
Temperature compensation: automatic with integrated temperature sensor
Max. allowed working pressure: 0.5 bar, no pressure impulses and/or vibrations
Flow rate: approx. 30l/h, small flow rate dependence is given
pH-range: 4 – 12, highly reduced dependence on pH-value
(linearly decreasing of approx. 5 % per increasing pH-unit)
Initial polarization: approx. 2 h
Response time T90: approx. 2 min.
Zero-point adjustment: not required
Slope calibration: on the measurement instrument,
by analytical determination, DPD-4-Method (DPD-1 + DPD-3)
Interferences: ClO2: is measured with 100 %
O3: is measured with a slope of 130 % (factor 1.3 against chlorine slope)
Housing:
Materials: PVC, silicone rubber, PTFE
Dimensions: length (depending on model): 175-220 mm, diameter: 25 mm
Mounting: plug connection set for flow fitting
Connection: waterproof four-pole screw connector
Maintenance:
Regular control of the measuring signal: min. once a week
Change of the membrane cap: once a year (depending on the water quality)
Change of the electrolyte: every 3 – 6 months
Storage: frost-protected, dry and without electrolyte – no limit
Used membrane caps cannot be stored!
Surfactants (tensides) are partially tolerated.
