[NEWS] Experience sharing about new teaching method at Universities among Vietnam, Cambodia, Singapore lectures with FPTU

Within the framework of an international cooperation program, on the afternoon of December 12, 2018, at the conference room of FPT University, the seminar “Experience sharing about new teaching method at Universities among Vietnam, Cambodia, Singapore lectures with FPTU” had took place. Attending the workshop were more than 20 officials, lecturers from Vietnam, Singapore, Colombia and experts of Deviwas.
Investors, universities leaders, more than 10 teachers participated in the seminar.
Representatives of Singaporean education experts were Mr. Lim Puay Hua, TIS Singapore CEO and Ms. July Nguyen.
At the seminar, expert Lim Puay Hua pointed out the limitations of the current educational method in Vietnam, which is a one-way, knowledge-based way of teaching teachers. This method restricts students ‘autonomy and creativity, reduces students’ interest and interaction with the teacher.
The expert introduced new teaching methods being applied in Singapore, which is active, student-centered teaching, project teaching …
This new way of teaching will reorganize the classroom in a new model, focusing on student-centered, building skill systems to develop student thinking, especially critical thinking.

After the seminar, officials, experts and students went to visit FPT campus and took souvenir photos.
