On November 28, 2020 in Ho Chi Minh City, the 6th National Congress of Deputies (term 2020 – 2025) was solemnly held by the Vietnam Water Supply and Sewerage Association.
Attending the conference were Mr. Nguyen Thanh Nghi, Commissioner member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Minister of Construction; Mr. Nguyen Hong Quan, former Minister of Construction; Former Deputy Ministers of Construction along with the presence of leaders, former leaders of the Ministry of Construction, leaders of Ho Chi Minh City. Ho Chi Minh, Ben Tre, Dong Nai, Binh Duong; representatives of a number of ministries, sectors, localities, international organizations, friend associations.
The congress reviewed the performance results of the V term (2015 – 2020), discussed and agreed on the objectives, directions and tasks of the VI term (2020 – 2025) of the Vietnam Water Supply and Sewerage Association. Concurrently, the congress elected the Executive Committee for a new term, capable of leading the growing association.
On the occasion of the Congress, recognizing the contributions of the Vietnam Water Supply and Sewerage Association, the Ministry of Construction awarded the Association a Certificate of Merit for its many achievements contributing to the development of Vietnam’s Water Supply and Sewerage industry in the period of 2018 – 2020.
Among these achievements, DEVIWAS’s role is remarkable. Being the general distributor for Vietnamese business in Water, Energy and Environment Solution, the company focuses on connection, brings firms in Germany’s Water Supply equipment to Vietnam. Its partner includes government agencies, international water partners; universities and organizations; water suppliers. In addition, DEVIWAS is a representative, distributor for three main groups of product: Van Ebro, GO Systemelektronik, DIEHL Metering. In the V term (2015-2020), DEVIWAS always promoted the member role in Vietnam water supply and sewerage association by developing the domestic water system and constantly learning from other countries’ system.
Although many important results have been achieved, the field of Water Supply, Sewerage and Environment still has many limitations and shortcomings and is facing many great difficulties and challenges. But with the tradition of solidarity, innovation and dynamism, the Vietnam Water Supply and Sewerage Association in general and DEVIWAS in particular will overcome difficulties and challenges to successfully implement the key goals and tasks of the 6th term (2020- 2025).
