In the morning of June 7, in Viet Tri City, Phu Tho, Vietnam Water Supply and Sewerage Association solemnly celebrated the 30th anniversary of its founding and received the Third Class Labor Medal awarded by the President .

With the purpose of reviewing the journey of building and developing the glorious development of the Vietnam Water Supply and Sewerage Association (VWSA) during the past 30 years, and acknowledging and appreciating the contributions of generations of officials and employees, water industry workers, Vietnam Water Supply and Sewerage Association solemnly celebrated the 30th anniversary of its founding and received the Third Class Labor Medal awarded by the President this morning (June 7), in Viet Tri. , Phu Tho province

Over 30 years of construction, development with 5 congresses, important milestones, generations of employees and employees in the water industry have always been united and attached to overcome many difficulties, hardships and labor. innovative and has made many positive contributions to the development of Vietnam’s water supply and drainage industry and the success of the country’s renovation process over the past 30 years.
After 30 years of construction and development, despite many difficulties and challenges; Because of the attention of the Party, the State, all levels and sectors, especially the efforts of generations of employees, water workers, the field of Water Supply and Sewerage has made a very impressive development. statue.

The water supply and sewerage system has been expanded, the service area and service quality are increasing. The rate of Loss of revenue decreased sharply.

– Compared to 1988, the total design capacity of urban water plants has increased 5 times (from 1.67 million to 8.5 million m3 / day).

– Service area increased more than 2 times: from 40% to 84.5%

– Water use per capita increased by 2.7 times: From 40 liters to 108 liters / day.

– The rate of Loss and revenue decreased from 40% to 22.5%

– 95% of the rural population will have access to hygienic water

– The field of wastewater treatment has been paid attention and is being invested more strongly. From 2 factories with a capacity of 6,200m3 / day, 41 factories with a capacity of 950,000 m3 / day and 28 factories are investing in construction with a total capacity of 1,375,000 m3 will soon be put into operation.

Recognizing the contributions in the field of water supply and drainage and the development of Vietnam Water Supply and Sewerage Association, the Ministry of Construction has decided to award certificates of merit to 26 outstanding individuals.

 

Under the authorization of the President, Mr. Nguyen Dinh Toan, Deputy Minister of Construction awarded the Third-class Labor Medal to Vietnam Association of Science and Technology.

In addition, the Standing Committee, Chairman of Vietnam Association of Associations has also issued a Decision to award the Certificate of Merit to 45 Collective and 23 typical people to honor collectives and individuals who have contributed to the development of VWSA.

Also on the occasion of this meaningful anniversary, with the aim of summarizing and evaluating advanced water supply and drainage technical solutions and technologies, honoring water supply and drainage construction works that have greatly contributed to improving the quality of life. After the process of surveying, evaluating and selecting justice, the Vietnam Water Supply and Sewerage Association has voted and awarded certificates of recognition for 31 typical water supply projects nationwide.
